New scheme to attract more visitors

Moroccan government has invested Millions of pounds in a new scheme to attract more visitors to Morocco, a media outlet has stated.

According to Magharebia.com, approximately £7.3 million is being spent on creating new recreational facilities and tourist accommodations across the south of the country. The government is aiming to attract holidaymakers by investing in infrastructure improvements, new transport links and leisure facilities such as marinas, conference centers and casinos. The government plans to market the country to acquire a special identity, so that morocco will be different from similar tourist destinations.

The new initiatives are designed to attract more tourists to brand new holiday resorts in Errachidia, Ouarzazate and Zagora. This could also help boost the country’s popularity with overseas property investors, as increased visitor numbers would create further demand for tourist lodgings. Extensive redevelopment is underway in Morocco as part of a plan to attract overseas property investors to the island. The Morocco’s tourist minister Mohamed Boussaid announced the launch of the scheme and said that this is likely to result in the creation of thousands of new jobs.

This comes shortly after Moroccan government announced that the other parts of the country’s infrastructure would be renovated and this move is expected to further boost the country’s tourist industry and property market.
