Holiday home buyers have been advised to act quickly if they wish to snap up a bargain residence in Moroccan city of Marrakech.
The Times recently reported that Marrakech is emerging as a property hotspot, claiming that easy accessibility with budget airlines, the warm weather, low living costs and ample areas of historical interest makes it an attractive proposition. Moreover, the government’s recent tourism drive is creating many opportunities for investment in the city. Marrakech’s reputation as a “bohemian bolt-hole” is well-known; it also boasts “great locations and a fantastic climate”. Marrakech is viewed favorably as it offered an exotic destination with value for money - a combination most travel industry experts believe will become increasingly attractive in the future.
Morocco is great for golfing all year round, the article adds, with many resorts now offering a shuttle bus service to local courses. For those less enthusiastic about golf, they can immerse themselves in an old-town riad in Marrakech. KPMG third annual Golf Benchmark Survey shows the extent to which the game of golf has developed in the Moroccan region over the last decade. There are now 18 golf courses in Morocco with around 40 further projects already underway, more and more golf tourists look set to visit Morocco and this is positive news for owners of rental accommodation in Morocco.
This comes after the news that The Financial Times stated that Moroccan economy is remarkably immune to the credit crunch which affected most of the countries around the world.
