Trevor Byrne of GEM Estates’ has stated that the area is at present benefiting from government plan aimed at developing tourism in Morocco. Moroccan government has granted a total of £200 million in order to develop infrastructure in the area and property investors are seeking buy-to-let properties to take advantage of the area’s new appeal.

The government’s initiatives are a big boost to the area’s holiday destination status. Tamuda bay’s growing popularity as a holiday destination is likely to be reflected in rental yields and promising growth in its housing market. Residential properties is springing up along Tamuda Bay and offering plenty of reasonably priced options for investors. The houses are much cheaper than those in neighboring Mediterranean nations. Property investors could also benefit from capital appreciation due to huge influx of tourists. Official figures recently revealed that during 2007, Morocco attracted more than seven million vacationers.
